The northeastern states of India, with their rolling hills, green valleys and bubble rivers

1. Tsomgo Lake, Sikkim

6. Umiam Lake
This man-made reservoir is located 5 km north of Shillong and is one of the most famous
landmarks in Northeast India, visited all year round. Spread over 222 sq km, it is surrounded
by dense species of coniferous forests.
People often ride a variety of boats on the lake, and the surrounding park represents the best
of all ages. The beauty of the lake has been enhanced by encircling the Khasi hills.
7. Cherrapunji and Mawsynram, Meghalaya
The Cherrapunji is perched on the edge of the Himalayas. The low-lying pancake tower of Bangladesh.
This alluring village was once considered the wettest place in the world to see heavy rainfall. The
road from Shillong to this miniscule village goes through great scenes that have become sensitive

8. Loktak Lake, Manipur
The lake is famous for its numerous small floating islands known locally as Fumdis. Lake Loktak
is one of the largest freshwater lakes in northeastern India and is the only floating national
park in the world - Cable Lamazao National Park and its location is one of the best places to
visit in Northeast India.
It is located in Bishnupur district of Manipur and floating wetlands can be visited by fishermen's boats.
9. Siang River Rafting, Arunachal Pradesh
From medium to solid rapids, the Siang River gives you the courage to equip your rafts with
grade 3 and 4 level rapids and riffles. The river is violent and the rafts are seeing huge
droplets at full speed, taking the fillings to the mainland.
The river flows through various tribal settlements and to complete the entire Siang River
course you must gain experience as a rafter with such a high grade.
10. Singalila National Park
This alluring national park is located at an altitude of 7,000 feet above sea level and
covers an area of 79 sq km making it one of the best places to visit in Northeast India.
Rhododendron forests, rare species of orchids and alpine trees are home to many species of
plants and animals such as Himalayan leopard, elephant, pangolin, chinkara and primula,
bamboo, magnolia, oak, rhododendron etc.
